The festive season is fast approaching, bringing with it the perfect excuse to indulge in good food and good company! Take the stress out of hosting with the Markian Entertainer’s guide.
Wow...what a month October has been
We kicked off the month by hosting an evening on Environmental Sustainability in the Corporate World with the Brisbane Junior Chamber of Commerce. We then held Making Markian, a two-day CPD intensive event the brought the companies together that helped make Markian a reality. We then finished out the month with a bang at our Sensory event! An exercise in being present in the most delicious of ways, Krsna from BASIK Chocolates created his delectable morsels to perfect pair with Wine Valet's mouth-watering wine selections. A total feast for the senses!
Delicate, airy, and refined.
There's a real resolve present in Julie Smeros' work. The pieces feel at once childlike and sophisticated. Her handling of clay is masterful, resulting in an almost buoyant, paper-thin appearance. Her vessels are reminiscent of the origami paper boats we played with as children, gliding and bobbing down streams, or floating in puddles after the rain had subsided. Unexplored terrain was at the forefront of our mind, imaginations bursting with the possibilities of discovery.
